Client Abstract:

  • Characteristics: New York VAR launched a new company (VISN IT) exclusively dedicated to Managed Services
  • Client Base: Small and Medium businesses—Financial Services, Schools, Hospitals, Municipalities, Advertising Agencies
  • Technology Solution Set: Virtualization, IT as a Service (ITaaS), Virtual Storage and a true Network Operating Center (NOC) designed for smaller business needs
  • Major IT Partners: HP, Microsoft, VMWare, IBM, Enterasys, Asigra, Liebert, Ingram Micro, Tech Data, SonicWall, OnStor, Ecora, N-Able, Connect+Wise

Challenges:

  • Limited budget for ambitious campaign—new branding/visual schema, new website, print materials, elevator pitches, executive communications, sales scripts, trade show materials, presentation materials, stationary, etc.
  • Disassociation with prior reseller brand—existing sales and delivery teams to be reconditioned to providing consultative solutions (evolution from product sales) to small businesses

Mitra Creative Solution:

  • Mitra Creative’s experience with new technology spinoffs from prior product sales paradigms gave us a 360º view of the challenge
  • We developed every brand element in scalable fashion—even the larger campaign components, such as the new website, were produced using a simple architecture (basic HTML site) which can be scaled up
  • Each campaign component contains graphics, linguistics and other elements that are on par with those of larger agencies, delivered at dramatically lower cost
  • VISN IT website produced with the same best practices as for larger sites—e.g. user experience, search engine friendliness, keyword placement, internal traffic patterns, etc.
  • While the solutions provided by VISN IT are “contained” managed service offerings, Mitra Creative’s additional uplift to the company’s web and print materials has been the addition of industry specific language that is client, rather than service, focused—“who”, not “what”
  • Relationship continues with new materials being developed for, and further brand uplift provided to, VISN IT by Mitra Creative on an on-going basis

Results:

  • The “clean launch” of the VISN IT website brought almost immediate recognition from search engines
  • New materials have created a unified internal awareness among VISN IT’s sales and delivery teams of a fresh, new brand and mission
  • Strong articulation of VISN IT’s offerings contributed greatly to the new company being identified and honored as one of the distinguished 2008 MSPmentor 100 (Nine Lives Media, Inc.)
